Had you guys heard anything about this? Usually I do, surprised I hadn't.

Happened Monday....

HOLLYWOOD — Arriving in early morning darkness along the Intracoastal Waterway, medics were greeted with an eerie sight Monday: a seemingly empty powerboat cruising in circles.

"When they first saw it, they were like, 'How is this happening?' " Fire Rescue Division Chief Mark Steele recalled.

Then the crew spotted a man, still breathing, crammed into the smashed bow of the stricken vessel. They were able to corral the boat and extract him, but he would soon die — a likely victim, officials said, of speeding.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Aldo Antonio Rodriguez, 41, and passenger Odalys Diaz, 45, both Miami-Dade County, were traveling south on the Intracoastal at about 1:20 a.m.

It was a center console of some kind, maybe that's why I heard nothing....

Boat crash turns into frantic rescue for man trapped inside
By Sarah Elder The Miami Herald

WSVN 7 reported a boat crashed head-on into a seawall early Monday morning leaving a man trapped inside as the boat started to sink.

The accident occurred at about 1:40 a.m. along South Ocean Drive near Hallandale Beach. When Hollywood Fire Rescue arrived, the woman had been ejected from the boat upon impact. The second victim, male, was trapped inside the boat.

It was a frantic situation as Hollywood Fire Rescue pumped water from the boat to prevent it from being submerged and drowning the man. Rescue crews resorted to power tools, freeing the man from the boat using chain saws.

The man and woman were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The male was is critical condition at the time but the current condition of both victims is still unknown.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation is investigating the incident.

WOW! I am kind of confused. One man found smashed in bow, one inside and a lady overboad? So total of three people? Maybe one of those fishing rigs with a cabin and there was a guy sleeping down there?
