The last show that Fountain was at the boat show costed the company $50K after all expenses were paid. Not worth the expense any more.

I thought we were the only ones. Austin has one and it always sucks. We just like to go hang out and drink beer. Always run into someone we know.

Where in god's name are you going to park on Sunday? The reason they are $5 is due to that OTHER thing that is going on right next door to McCormack Place...

There just is'nt anything at the show that I feel is worth going through the effort of going down there for. Watchin the snow melt sounds more exciting to me than our current boat show, and I like boats. Go figure. :puke:

I rember the days that John G and I had a spot there

We would bring a Black Thunder or in the later years a Nor Tech to sell

We would be behind the Cigs and stuff that National would bring and even Awsome Cat had a spot

All the big offshore boat Mfg's would be represented

Ahhhh the good old days

I think thats a great investment.. sell one boat and you`ve made your money back and then some. Then theres the exposure, bringing in new customers etc..

I bring my Rolling Showroom to local events and even if I don`t sell anything the exposure is worth it..

Going to Shogrens is alot more of a boat show than the Boat Show is.

I`m with you.. which one has a better/bigger/more boats?
Shogren? (they seem to have a lot of Fountains thou ) Grand Sport in Lake Hills or Morris?

Any particular reason you wouldnt be interested in a Fountain?

Never been to lake in the hills GSC. I think jerry runs the morris location still. In morris, i think most of their inventory is outside, which kinda sucks when its 14 degrees out for looking at boats.

The GSC in Lake in the Hills seems to has a better inventory of nice Big Boats. The one in Morris is mostly smaller Bajas.

Well lucky for us we have them both in the area. Plus between Grand Sport Center and Shogren they have more boats for sale then the entire Boat show.
