Nice job. Be careful with all that pushing a 24'.

I've seen test showing how much hp to push a boat 1 mph, and it seem to always adds up to 20 hp for 1 mph. which would increase your by 5 mph. my guess would now be 85mph

Bob, I would think 85 or so. Raising your x would make a huge difference in speed and handling. I would be a little nervous running that fast trimed up with the stock drive height. My boat is more stable now at 74 that when I ran 68 with the stock x.

Also, what drive are you running. You are pushing your luck with the Bravo.

I had the same boat to 91 gps with me and a buddy in it with more throttle left. My engine made 711hp on the dyno. The X dimension on my boat was raised 3 1/2"s, all of the wood was replaced with coosa, and the cuddy was stripped so it quite a bit lighter than stock. The boat is running 75+ with a stock 502 mag now so the weight savings made a difference.

A 4 blade Mach 30p. I really like the Mach props on the outlaws as do a few of my friends that have the same boats. The boat was MUCH more stable than with a Bravo.

IMCO boxes can come in a variety of ways...Neutral, 1"-3" raised.....With Imco you get a standard box or 3" raised. The Stellings box is adjustable up to 2". The Imco shorties however come in standard, -1, -2 or with the imco upper -3.

its a imco box ill have to look through the paperwork for the prop shaft depthTo get a close measurement, take your outdrive and get it as level to the bottom as possible. Extend a strait edge from the bottom of the boat to the outdrive, then measure down to the propshaft centerline. Mine is now 5", it used to be 8". Depending on the year of you boat yours used to be 6.5 to 7.5" deep.

jeff i got 6in from the bottom of the boat to the bottom of the houseing ??? is that wt you are mearsureing ???I think there is a formula to figure it that way. I will see if I can find a picture of how to measure it. I bet you are 7.5 to 8" deep.

Ratickle

That actually looks fairly stable at that speed.

I just bought a 2" shorty IMCO for our Marlin, we'll see how it works out in a couple weeks. Everyone I've chatted with says the IMCO will improve handling dramatically.

I had a 25' A.T. and at 80mph that thing would start to chine walk that would scare me, be careful man!

80,81 seems to be the chine dance # for all the 26'and under w/ the stock X
i had a 90 Eliminate Daytona 25 that acted the same way, at 80 w/ a little throttle left, but it was a handful i decided to leave the rest of the throttle for someone else.
Besides that, at 81 you needed a helmet to keep your face from deforming ,it hurt after 45 secs or so. your cheeks try to delam.

I also had a Baja 235 in heavy dvx trim w/ stock X that went 76 and felt fine,no different than 66.

The shorty took almost all the chine walk out of the Marlin at 80+. But, it now does some other goofy things. Especially when slowing down a bit too quickly.
