I like Taylor's.

Taylor's seems to have a good rep.

I bought Keith Eickert's wires but I don't know wether they are better or worse than any other. I like that they are marked with cylinder number in both ends etc.

Last couple of sets I have bought have been Taylor's as well. Nothing bad to say about them at all.

why do you guys like taylors? do they offer the best performance? long life? are there any of you engine builders that have seen better results on a dyno??

thx andy

I like the Taylors because they are easy to work with when making custom lengths, they are very flexible, their spark plug boots are compact, the silicone outer is good to 600 deg F, they stand up to oil very well, and they're pretty cheap! You can't go wrong with MSD either. :sifone:

I honestly don't think your going to gain much if anything on the dyno from plug wires. They are nicely made wire for a reasonable price, and I haven't had any problems with them. I have used Jacobs and they were fine as well, but didn't like the boots as much as the taylors.
I had issues with a set of accel wires arcing after less than a year a few years back though. That was a cheap set, and on a jeep, not a boat.

I usually use MSD stuff. Just get it by the spool, and make the wires custom for each application. I usually try to make at least two for each one that I'm using so I can swap them in a hurry if I have to.

MSD's and Taylor seem good I also had problems with Accel wires. Usually I go for the MSD's.

I use taylors, I like tghe cost and small boots, also the boots do not seem to get stuck on the plugs.

I use MSD hands down. Best wire on the market. I have seen many insulations problems with the Taylor wire. Many engines have come in the door with Taylors and leave with MSD. ....You get what you pay for.

Use to run 8 mm taylors with some problems, switched to 10 mm and no more impregnation.I may try MSD just because all my electonics are MSD.:biggrinjester:

I prefer these, to me they are the best, never had a problem and the sleeving protects them.

just put a small dab of dielectric grease and youll never have another problem.

Between our KE custom labeled and heat protected wires (http://www.keitheickert.com/detail.aspx?ID=7927) and the MSD marine wires (http://www.keitheickert.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=112); you can't go wrong. PM if you are intersested in some SOS discount pricing. :sifone:
