How is that launch, was thinking of going there Sunday??

Great ramp. Parking lot manuevering gets a little tight for long rigs but still do able.

The ramp is nice, it's steep but nice. Parking is a ways ways ways away too. Might consider Pastrics Marina just over on Cline. 80 to Cline Ave North to the Pastrics exit. A few turns and your in.

Hammond is a great launch. Just a bit of a walk to get to the truck and trailer parking.

WHat he said. The ramp itself is nice, and the piers at the ramp are real nice. Parking does kinda suck, and can get crowded there sometimes. Still prefer pastrick/east chicago over it.

How far is boaters beach from East Chicago? I`m trying to figure something out for the kids to do while the water is freezing ass (besides grandmas house lol)

Looking at the Googles theres some dunes between East Chicago and Boaters beach.. anything interesting there?

15 miles or so. about a 20 minute boat ride!

Boater is the beach to go, your kids will love the lazy river. My son loves it there!!!!! How old are your kids. Mines 4.

I had the boat out of the garage and ready to go when it started raining like crazy, hasnt stopped since.
30% is what they said yeasterday yeah right

I hit up East Chicago, wondered around for a while since Cline is all closed up but finally found it.
Nice place but not alot of parking. Luckily I found a spot otherwise it s a walk to across the street.
in my 25' it was like a washing machine today so I think boaters beach was a 30 min ride.

I was hoping to get some food in the restaurant/bar there.. when is that place open? Was closed today

you needed to go to the yacht club building. it should have been open for food and drinks. it is on the far east side.
