I have recently finished my build on my boat. i have pushed it a couple times and i can get around 5500 rpm with the bravo 1 24p. the prop is 15 1/4 i think. i have a mirage plus 25 as well which i beleive is 14 1/2. so should they act about the same. is it 50rpm for every quarter inch change in diameter and 200rpm for each inch of pitch? so the bravo 1 is about 23.5p and the mirage is a true 25 so i would gain 200 rpm by diameter but cancel out 300rpm by pitch? so run around 5400?

Bravo 24P is about a 23P and 15.0 inches in diameter. The diameter being greater than the Mirage Plus 25P. This is a difference of .50 inches. But remember that the greater the diameter the greater the stern lift. The greater the sern lift the higher the RPM. So with that being said, even though a propeller has a larger diameter it does not always produce the reduction in RPM that one would anticipate. Cup styles and amounts will also effect the outcome.

The 24P should run within about 100-150 RPM of the 25 Mirage Plus.

There is only one way to find out.....run it!

I can push the bravo 1 to about 5500 to 5700 rpm. at 74mph gps. the boat starts to chie pretty bad but i think i got a little more room for a couple mph if i had rougher water. the 25 mirage plus ran about 4800 to 4900 rpm at 70-71mph even. i am not in my peak horsepower range.

Julie, I called and left a message.... what can you do for me?

the mirage overall is a better prop. it planes more level and carries the bow at all rpms. unlike the B1 that will porpose at about 50mph. i just need more rpm out of it... mabye needs pitched back a little as well.
