We have the OK from Valley Harbor, just need a head count on overnight dockage. I know I'll need a dock for my 37'. BajaCleveland.... you need an overnight dock for your 23?

Anyone else? Post it here, or PM me. I need to get a list together, and Danny said I can get a reduced rate if there's enough of us, and if they have room depending on the size of your boat.

July 10th. We're on for 10 AM.

I think with more notice we'll have a bigger turn out, also I think we should make our swimming hole raft up stop a card stop. Its the first and only poker run with one of those.

Yeah, it was a good time. I have a few ideas to make this Poker Run better than the last, too.

I think breakdowns were at a minimal... unfortunately Rob (here) had some drive troubles. He had a good hand too... but not good enough. Sorry Rob... maybe 2011 you'll get paid.:driving:

I think Obama will be proud of you and probably show up when he hears off a "Green" high performance boat poker run.

He won't have a clue, just that it's "green".....:)

Yeah, it'll be a green theme... maybe we'll serve green beer, and everyone can open thier wallets and display thier green at the gas pumps. Maybe I can get BP to sponsor the event. lol

If BP buys the gas, you'll have a whole lot of participants......:cheers2:

Here's a few Q&A type responses:

Q: Do I have to do all stops and be present at the final stop for my hand to count?
A: No. If you can't make it to the final stop, or you want to skip a stop, no problem. But, I am the only person that will whitness cards being opened, and the last hand will be opened at or around 7 PM in which a final winner will be announced. So if you break down and haven't opened your cards, you have until 7 PM to contact me that you will be driving to Shooters and will be there to open your cards.

Q: Is there a pre-part?
A: Yes. At Olde River Yacht Club there is a pre-party Friday night. Including live entertainment both nights. ORYC is equipped with a outdoor tiki bar, outdoor pool and jacuuzi. To get to ORYC from the water, head towards Cleveland, come down the Cuyahoga river. Immediately after crossing the first railroad bridge, turn right down the Olde River. Follow the Olde River until you see the first marina… that’s Olde River. The second marina is Ivancic Marine (aka Channel Park Marina and Formula Boats dealer).

Q: Can I only purchase one hand?
A: You can purchase as many as you want. The first hand is $65 (includes a $15 donation to Make-A-Wish), each hand after that is $50.

Q: What time do you start?
A: The boats will un-tie from the Shooters deck promptly at 10:45 AM (weather permitting).

Q: What time do you return?
A: Last stop is scheduled to return to the Shooters deck at 6 PM. Check-in is required before 7 PM. If you break down, or can’t make the last stop before 7 PM you must call me or another staff of the Poker Run. The Coast Guard may be called for search and rescue if anyone is believed to be in distress or missing. Please be sure to check-in before 7 PM… I don’t want to make that decision.

Q: Where is overnight dockage available at?
A: Olde River Yacht Club has overnight dockage available for Friday and Saturday night. Call ahead for availability and price. Let them know you’re with the Poker Run. 216-630-1079.

Q: Is there a gas dock nearby?
A: Yes. Ivancic Marine is a sponsor of the Poker Run and had gas available. He is located right next door to Olde River Yacht Club. He also has a grocery store to buy chip, beer, etc. and a marine store for parts and a lift of you need/prefer to be lifted in/out of the water.

Q: Is there a public launch nearby?
A: Yes. Edgewater Park is located adjacent to Olde River Yacht Club and is walking distance away. There are 6 deep and long public ramps available at no charge and a large parking lot for overnight parking, or day parking. The public ramp is off Rt. 2 at the Edgewater Park exit, turn right. To google for directions, use Whiskey Island Drive, Cleveland, OH

I wanna thank everyone that came out for the Poker Run. We were worried about the weather, but it turned out to be perfect. Calm waters, no rain, filtered sun and not excessively hot, and of course, great company. Met some new friends, and saw a few old friends. Lunch at the Jackelope Lakeside in Lorain was fantastic, can't wait to go back. Shooters was a little less than hospitable, but the food was great.
We had a great turnout, best ever, and a nice size pot for the winner (Allie), and a few "hidden treasures" to mix things up. I also want to congratulate Charla, the winner of the 32" TV, and Bob for winning the box of Specialized boat parts/tools from Whoya Products (Harley Motorcycle Tools, Boat Marine Tools items in Whoya Products store on eBay! (http://www.stores.ebay.com/whoyaproducts)). We also raised a sizable collection for Make-A-Wish, I want to thank everyone for their donations.
Stay tuned for video and pics to follow.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!!!

I think the HTPR folks are going to plan a Winter Party for early 2013. Who's in? Plans are still in the making, and any ideas at this point will be taken into full consideration.
