Let it be known first on Serious:sifone:....

Neil has left Cigarette. To bad too since Neil was the back bone to Cigarette, being there for so many years and making it through so many owners. Cigarette will cary on building outstanding boats but I'm sure Neils touch will be missed.

Yep!

Yes and no. Believe me, Skip's agreement has many loopholes and is anything but simple. From what I hear, you wouldn't believe it. This corp and that corp, so on, so on. Skip was not going to plop down millions and hand over a portion of Cigarette to anyone. Neil may be part owner, but part owner of what is the question?

Sad to hear. I'm sure Cigarette was a huge part of Neill's life, being employed by Cig since he was a kid.

Hopefully something even bigger will develop because of it.

you got that right! Neil has survived many dipsticks over the years. skip thinks he is the smartest guy in the world. if neil didn't stay on in the beginning skip would be toast. neil can go anywhere its just f'd up that he needs to. cig has long attracted the ego freak owners since don and skip is the worst. neil is a real brother. shame.

Lipship is worth more? Dunno.

Jupiter touched someones TopGun worth less? Definitely. :)

You know, I looked at buying Enriques old 30' once.

I climbed up in the cabin and took about 10 pics.

Phil asked WTF I was doing I told him I figured Anna had been naked in there at least once. :drool5:

One more guy here who was really helped out by Neill. My boat went through Lip-ship but it was Neill who made it happen all the way. I first met him at the Miami Boat show in 03' and when I called him direct a year later he still remembered our conversation about red gelcoat bottoms. Walked me though the whole construction and took care of me when the trucking company f'd up my paint.

Then He called me 2 days before a Hurricane to arrange to get my boat out of their factory because the insurance Skip bought excluded boats that were back in the shop after being delivered to their owners. I would have never known otherwise.

I agree with the others, He was Cigarette. If it is true he got hosed out of his initial investment it is all the worse.

Was Neil working the 2010 Bahia Mar Boat Show for Cigarette last week? Or did he find new employment?
