Question...

I just sold the wheels off of my 2010 F250. They were 17 aluminum factory wheels with 245-75-17's on the wheels. Sold them to a guy with a 99 F250. He put them on and said the tires hit the tie rods. So, is the offset that different on these trucks?? If so, I guess I have to give him his money back...

yeah, the 99s had leaf spring suspension. the tires are not hitting the tie rods. its impossible and the factory minimum rim in 1999 was a 16. the 17 is good but yes the offset changed (for the better) and they will contact the rear of the leaf spring on each side. there are so many hillbillies with polished springs from their oversized tires hitting them! they dont care and neither should he. 2010 rims look way better than anythin offered in 99.

also take a look at your truck. the control arms to have big dents in them so the tires dont rub.

i should also say that they are inset more to help with unitized bearing longevity and safer ride qualities. they figured out some stuff since 99

I thought there was a steering stop you could adjust, or is that only later models??

I did not ask too many questions, but they said it would not move, but did not say if that was in full steering lock...
