I raised the x diminsion as most of you know and now my propshaft centerline is 5" deep. Now here is the question, should I plug the top 2 or so sets of holes on the pickup? If so should I tig weld, jb weld or tap and plug with brass?

I thought I answered this already..

You should be fine.. If you need to brass 1/16 pipe plugs should do the trick.

I have heard of others needing to do this to avoid sucking air at WOT. I have the side pickups, not the low water pickup.

No apologies needed. I must have been distracted. I had typed it out and...

An easy way to check for air would be to temporarily install a clear hose that you can extend forward to monitor for bubbles. The hose from the manifold to the riser. You want solid water no bubbles.

Just wanted to update the thread for future reference. With the propshaft at 5" deep the standard bravo side mount pickups work fine. I had 30psi at cruise all the way up to wot.
