Just wanted to post a schedule for the 2010 race here in Michigan City.
We've added a bunch, trying to make a really cool week-long event out of it since we had such a great event last year.
Anyone who wants to come into town early and play in the golf outing let me know and we'll hook you up.
We also have a LOT of businesses (mainly restaurants) in M.C. who'd love to feed and water you guys in exchange for some boat time at their places.
Enjoy ...

Hey Mike, what's already done?
And thanks for the favor with the flyers at the Indy show.
You're the best.

The Saturday block party continues to expand and is looking killer.
We'll have two, maybe three live bands and what's shaping up to be a pretty kick a&& "Tast of Michigan City" thing with a bunch of restaurants down at the site. They'll add to the great atmosphere already provided on 7th street by McGinnis Pub and Top Dog.
The city gave us 7th street from Wabash to Franklin Street and Washington Street from 6th to 8th for the whole party which will allow us to park about 25 or so boats for the thing. Thanks cops and board of works.
And our Thursday night kickoff racer party is at Matey's, which everyone loves, so get into town early for that.
And let me suggest, if it's not too late, a great party at the Clubhouse on Firday night. It's a killer bar with a great tiki set up outside which includes a great stage. Rich Hardesty will take the stage at 10 p.m., and he's well worth a listen.
Getting excited!

Also, anyone interested in getting into town early and playing in the golf outing on Wednesday just let me know at 219.872.5055 or 219.830.9016.
It's an 8 a.m. CDT shotgun start on Wednesday, Aug. 4, with a nice big lunch afterwards. Will be attended by a crazy amount of local folks but we're hoping to get some racers there, too.

Everybody who's planning to come to Michigan City in August: We have several bars/restaurants in town very excited about the race, to the point they're asking me how they can get boats parked by their establishments. Each is willing and excited to supply crews with food and drink in exchange. In fact, one facility is hosting a day long event on Friday and is planning a hospitality tent for crews including food buffet and open bar. He'd like to have 10 boats and crews. I'll post the schedule for his events soon, most likely on www.thunderonlakemichigan.com and on Facebook.
Anyone interested in any of this please contact me and I'll put you in touch with our partners.
Thanks,
j.
