They are fairly new but based on all the positive reviews of the Alpha knock-offs I'd be willing to run them......for the price you can't hardly go wrong!!!

My mechanic told me he has sold a few of them- like 10-12 sets from what it sounded like.
A few blew them up but sounded like they would have shattered a Bravo drive as well so didn't sound like a quality issue. The blown drives? Replaced without question!
3 year warranty and $900- I'd use them in a heartbeat!

I just serviced an outboard SEI. All the O rings were glued in place. I don't know the history. The owner said it was 6 months old. The lube was so silver I changed it ran it on the hose and changed it again. Something is going away in it. We will see how long it lasts.

I don't think they have an upper for the Bravo yet. We put the alpha on a buddies 20' boat with a 400hp small block 3-4 years ago. He hasn't had a single issue, and he has a thing for hole shots.

I have been running one of their outboard lowers for about 6 months, no problems, and I run it WOT whenever possible, single outboard(250EFI Merc) on a 24 foot boat. It is hard to beat the price and the warranty.
