I wish you could back in time and not have destroyed my sleds .
My first was a 1972 Evinrude Bobcat 32hp, then a 30 HP Evinrude Norseman then a Evinrude 650 Skimmer then switched to Arctic Cat first a Jag 340 then a 1982 El Tigre 6000 . I got out of sledding when things got complicated , trail passes , insurance , Police , speed limits . It took the fun out of what we grew up doing . Thinking of getting back into the sport again though .
I remember putting 2 sleds in front first and the third backwards in the back of Dads pick up .
I think Dad paid around 600 dollars for it .
Thanks Kurt brings back some great memories .

That is what I was thinking- lot of OCD going on up in your neck of the woods Biggus! Not a bad, thing- just sayin...

Are these museums? Do they let the public check them out? As cool as they are, just wondering the motive. Like do they go out there and fiddle with them or daydream or ?

Thanks for sharing!

What, no Merc Twisters????????????????

Seriously, thats an amazing collection. I see some pretty rare and special pieces in that group. I love the Rupp magnum. I drooled over those at the races back in the day when I had my 69 Moto Ski Capri.

What, no Merc Twisters???????

Here's a Trail Twister. Everything in the snowmobile museum is for sale. He had a Snow Twister but had recently sold it.

MM, this collection is open to the public. It's located in Turner Maine at a trailer dealer. The owner does a lot of shows and hauls them all over.

In the early 1970s I had a Yamaha GP396 free-air. Had loads of fun on that thing! Thanks for reminding me. Those were simpler times for me.

Dude! Sweet!

Man, that's awesome. Did Arctic Cat make the coolest sleds or what!? I aways wanted an El Tigre, but never got one. I had a Ski-Doo Elan with a 440 Nitro motor on it that never ran right... :sifone:

Had an old Scoprion and a Ski-rule, but the go-to sled was always my Ski-Doo 399.

Thanks for the pics!

I tell all my sled buddies the best time for a vintage sled is NOW......with all the groomed trails around you could actually go for a ride without getting the living daylights pounded out of you.....:)
