Our new Pantera 41' is being built to take extreme punishment in rough water. We recently added a new T.S. bottom.

The new Pantera 41' on this thread will have a full pleasure set up with a port side cabin door entry, full cabin, powered by twin 525 EFI's and Bravo 1 XR drives.

We also have another new white 41' coming out of the mold in the next couple of days. The deck is already sitting on the floor. This one will have a custom 5 man bolster with padded race dash and will be powered like Rik says with twin staggered 525 EFI and # 6 drives with Arneson rocker plate tabs. I will post pictures of this one next week sometime.

We are going to offer our new Pantera 41' in 2 stages.

# 1 Hull and deck with a complete hand laid race lamination , custom 5 or 6 man race bolster, padded dash, custom deck hardware, engine room painted in smooth awl grip paint, and fuel tanks. Boat can also be lowered with a seamless finish ( no rub rail ). Delivery time frame for stage 1 45-60 days.
Boat must be rigged by a qualified experienced rig shop.

# 2 Complete boat done by Pantera with pleasure boat lay out and complete cabin. Power options are "unlimited".Over 6 foot cabin headroom.

We are putting out "special pricing" on the first 7 boats.

Plans are in the near future to also offer the 41' in a custom open deck version.

If anyone has any questions on the new 41' I can be emailed at Panterab@bellsouth.net

Regards,

Jo - Pantera Boats

I have no opinion either way as I was not involved with his dealings, all i know is bs usually follows from both sides when his name is brought up. Like I said, all I have consistently heard is the molds are beautiful.

Huh? OK, whats the story here? Rework? Are these molds from Mystic? or Pantera?

The molds were originally designed for Thad Allen of "apache," and pantera bought them when that deal fell apart. According to an article posted on OSO, John helped rework the design. (according to the article, he has helped with Pantera's design before) Just reporting what was said in the article, I have no direct info, if any of this is incorrect feel free to correct me.

Jo and Pepe have said for a while now if someone wants a 41, the molds are ready to go. A small pic (of the deck) with some drawings have been on their website as well. I think it was a situation where they didnt have an interested buyer, so they were going to wait to pop a boat until one came around. Im extremely excited for them that they now have the opportunity to build this new model.

I think that there was more to that conversation IF I recall it correct.
I "THINK" it was something that Mr. Cal Connel (remember him?) had told me one day.
Needless to say he was quite a bit older than myself who @ the time was in my middle 20's. Mr Connel said,

Yes sir there was much much more to that conversation in those days we were young, the boat business was very exciting and in our crew Anglo, Donald and myself wanted Haggerty to build again. you ran a Pantera 24 with a 482 and a #3 speedmaster if I recall correctly and we had a couple very nasty races that season. We were in 30 Corsas.

Lookin' good! Joey, man... I didn't know you were going over with the boat. Good work and good luck! I know you'll make La Familia Pantera (all your loyal supporters and customers) proud!

Many years ago I was in raceboats w/ some of the bigest name throttleman,
I will guarantee you that Jo could run w/ any of them!
No exageraton because he is my son, IF he wasn't that good I would tell you just the same.

He has 2 speeds, 1) tied up to the dock and 2) b*lls to the wall b4 he sees the green flag go up!

In the 70's and 80's I did not win many BUT the ones that I did were from start to finnish in the very front. :willy_nilly:

Supersport class in P1 has a limit of 90 MPH this 2010 race season. It is a power to weight ratio series and with the twin Mercury Racing 525 EFI's this new Pantera 41' will need to weigh in at approximately 10,500 pounds. My Father and I are concentrating on the rough water set up since most races in P1 are known to be very rough. Very important will be acceleration since this will most likely be one of the largest boats in the Supersport class. I am confident this new Pantera 41' will be very fast and really perform in extreme sea conditions !

Depends on the old resin bucket (they all weighed different) Heavy one 63mph light one 68mph:driving:

That is what is so cool about technology look at what a 38' tg straight bottom runs with the same power as a a TS Gun. Hell, a 39' Tg Unlimited with 700's runs 105 or so, what would it take a straight bottom to do that. To me this is the coolest endeavor I have seen in some time.

Hello Sean,

We went with a 360 gallon fuel capacity on this new Pantera 41' race boat so we will be able to add weight by adding fuel if need be. Once we complete the boat will weigh it with no fuel and see where we are at. Will be doing alot of testing out in the ocean and in the bay.

Here is the latest version we are working on now for the new Panter 41' model.

The "6 pack" model will include: 1/2 cabin, custom 6 man bolster, padded dash, custom padded race hatches, and custom deck hardware.

Ideal power would be a pair of staggered Mercury Racing 700 SCI. We have "unlimited" power options.

What do you guys think ? This is my style of boat !

Would there be an option of a short stagger in order to still have a pleasure cockpit ( 2 bolsters and a bench) with a 1/4 cabin? Just trying to get the best of both worlds!

Just curious, how thick is the coring in the side of the hull? I see in other pictures the bulkheads are laminated to the primary coring, no need to double up the core where the bulkheads mount to spread out the load?

Here are a few pics. of the new Pantera race 41'. We sprayed the windscreen area in flat black so it would match the custom black deck hardware. The race dash will be going on tomorrow since it is being upholstered in yellow vinyl with padding matching the custom 2 man race bolster. New dash looks real nice ! I will post a few more pics. soon showing the race cockpit.

Split engine hatches are being sprayed Red this Saturday. Look real custom with the new air intakes we just put in this week.

Race # 08 will also be going on plus Pantera logo and sponsors.

Boat was sprayed with Ferrari Red.
