Was driving west in Mn. last Thursday had a little problem with the wind. I had a 70-80 mile per hour wind pick up my empty trailer about 8 feet off the ground and over I went. I got the call today they junked the truck. Now I am about 9 grand in the hole. Now they want to fight. Finance companies suck.

Glad no one got hurt, except my pride. 17 years this is the worst I have been in ever.

Here is the pic of just how far the trailer went in mid air. If you look the trailer left no marks in the grass at all. Very fun ride, the other picture is of the mail box and the hole in the front from cement blocks.

Sorry to hear - glad you are okay.

That is AMAZING though.... Not something I would have ever conceived as a danger.

that sucks , i had a experiance a long time ago when i was 14. my uncle used to own a few trucks that ran shrimp from port lavaca texas to bayou labattre ala.

on a trip back , just as we got into la a piece of retread tire road debris got caught up in a front wheel and locked up the wheel , well , he did a great job trying to control but we went over , shrimp all over the interstate , no one was hurt ,big mess..

best to you getting back up and running...

Now, will the arch come off the Beak boat without too much filler? Post up some pictures! Someone will buy that thing! It is too nice to just be sitting. Want to trade for a 29 Baja??

That sux. As an x driver of 20 years, I feel your pain. How long did the motor run lay'n on it's side? Looks like she puked a lot of oil.
BTW, nice beak.

ran about 2 gallons out the back of the turbo. The reason they totaled it was when the trailer came up it pushed two big holes in the back of the sleeper. Thanks

What!! Holy chit...you're get'n screwed. How the h@ll did they manage that? As straight as it was lay'n, they should've been able to air bag it upright and winch it straight out. Pretty much a text book recovery even if all they had was a telescoping boom and a stinger. Not to mention they had no weight to contend with...I'm asuming you were empty. I'd be point'n fingers at the recovery crew for damages that helped to exceed the truck value.

No, as I was going down the road the trailer banged the upper part of my bunk then it rolled me from there. The people that helped me out side the tandems had been about 6- 8 feet of the ground. That is the wind did it to me. Thanks

OK. Had me wondering about the recovery crew for a bit. Had to been one h@ll of a ride.
Best of luck with the aftermath.
