Building on the list myself and others added to in the Warpath thread, I am putting together this thread to show each one of the boats on the list. Again if there are any errors please let me know. Again this is only for 41' 3 and 6 pack boats. Some of the photos are my own, but many were taken from the internet over the years. If any photos are yours and you object to them being posted, please let a moderator know and they will be removed.

Great Job ! The pics are a super nice touch !

I don't think Ultimate Warrior was ever a racer tho ?!?!?!

From the pics it looks like a half or side by side setup and it looks to have large front SEATS, but someone posted in another thread that it was a race setup I do not have any other photos to confirm or deny. The hatchs are confusing as it would be the only side by side or half stagger I have seen with "race hatches" they don't look deep enough though. Can someone confirm?

Thanks for the additional race boat photos! Can we please try and keep this thread to 41' race setups only? I realize that the first Apache is very important, but just like the yellow 47' this is not the place for that boat. Too many sites and even here have a bunch of pictures in huge threads, but nothing that is easy to skim through and reference. That is what my goal is with this thread, if anyone disagrees feel free to start your own thread. I hope to start the 47' boats next, so if someone wants to start by all means!! :). Also, Cashbrain I liked that meanstreak photo so much that I posted it myself on page 1 ;).

I would venture to guess that about 35-40% of the 75-41's are 3-pack or 6-pack set-ups probably 15 of those were 3-pack long dash!!!!

47's out the 24ish built about 1/2 were race type set-ups

Let me dwell on it overnight and I can probably nail it down a bit better!!!!

Dr, this list started back in the WARPATH thread in October, everyone added all the boats they can think of. According to Stinson's post quoted above we have to be pretty close to having a complete list.

That would be a nice find! Nope no 41' yet we got as close as putting a deposit down, having a survey, and a sea trial, but in the end the deal went south for a number of reasons. Still on the list of things to buy, just need this economy to turn around now!

xlr8by
12-23-2009, 11:29 PM
What have you looked at so far?

Started out looking for a 42' fountain then switched to a 42' tiger, and then we realized just how perfect an Apache was after seeing Island Runner and SC Red Hot blast up and down the Jersey Coast, for many summers. We don't need a cabin, and wanted a boat that could handle the rough water, and that video of Warpath running in those huge seas really helped in pushing us over the edge. So a 6 pack race boat was what we wanted, but at the end of the day though for non-boat reasons we didn't end up buying a 41' or any new boat, as a result though I became a die hard Apache enthusiast, and will own one some day with or without my uncle. We still have a 30' center console with twin outboards, but that was supposed to be our OTHER boat with the Apache. We got the less important boat first! We haven't been looking for about the last year. The economy really put a damper on things, my job security dropped off big time, and my uncle is a real estate developer. So you can guess the boat fund is not what it once was. :(

as a result though I became a die hard Apache enthusiast, and will own one some day with or without my uncle.

Words to live by dude!!!! :):driving:

That mind-set is what got me back into boating!!! My father owned his own company through the 70's-80's and went belly up in the mid 80's... He lost the boat, house etc. in the late 80's... I missed being on our boat and remembered all the "talk" about racing and Apache's and then I saw Kid Apache at the NYC boat show with 3 engines and remember asking my father, "how in the heck did they fit 3 engines in there and look at all that chrome!":USA:

Through out my teenage years we'd always go driving around to dealerships looking at boats that my faither claimed he would buy "in a year or two" but it never came to fruition because he couldn't get his company off the ground.... :( One time he had me believing we were buying a 42' Fountain with T-425's brand new with the radar arch.. lol After a while I got tired looking at all the pictures of yesterday and hearing the BS of how were were going to get another one and I said to myself, I'm going to have to do this chit on my own!

As I was entering high school I started to wise up... I started busting my azz... Positioned myself to work at a marina when I was 17 and worked there until my early 20's, going to college at night and bought my Scarab when I was 22 for cash ($16K, sold it for $22K)... Kept on busting my azz until I could afford what I have today!!!:driving:

Anyway, just a lil bit about me! :bump:

Nope not the same boats. The Boat in post #3 was Warpath II, and the boat in post #12 was US 1 which was raced later in the 80's than Yellow Warpath. I would say that the banner boat Team Apache might be the 3rd 41' Ben raced, but I am not positive. Does anyone know?

I was told Warlord was dumped off of a trailer on its way from Sarasota to California around 1995, something about having a bilge full of engine blocks laying inside. I stumbled across it sitting in a warehouse in Sarasota shortly before that with no motors in it. I remember sitting in the same boat in Key West around 1985ish.....the owner was from New Zealand at the time.

What about the 41' raceboat Called "HONCHO" from Az, has that been mentioned?

Yep see post 28, I am not sure if those are photos of Honcho or not though. If you have any shots post them up please :)

Thanks for the post and welcome, but that boat appears to be a pleasure setup, as such it does not belong on this list. This list is only for the 3 or 6 man race setup boats, but great post!

guys, I'm new to the site but I've been obsessed with Apaches ever since I saw a 41 on the Chesapeake a few years ago. I just noticed that Yellow Warpath is for sale now. here's the link below. It seems like a cheap price compared to other 41's for sale, esp given the race history. I mean, I value the race history like you all do, but maybe the price is low because the general public thinks the race history is just "extra abuse" haha. Apache powerboats for sale by owner. (http://www.powerboatlistings.com/apache/)

edit - i forgot to mention that a few other old Apache 41 racers are for sale too on that site. I was just focused on Yellow Warpath because I love the way it looks in all white. The original paint scheme was cool, but i like the way it is now too.

Welcome, Apache's have quite the following. I'm sure they'll be glad to know there is another fan.

So, did you read the entire thread?

Ok Apache tribe, time to go to work! I was just cruising thru the Black Creek on Lake St Claire in Detroit when I saw an unmistakable boat coming towrds me from a long distance. I could tell it was an Apache. Not only was it an Apache, but a Race Apache! It was an all white 41, with Apache decals on the side of the boat midship. It also had a dome shaped deck hatch on the forward deck. It was a salty looking old girl. I asked the guys which boat it was, but I got the "deer in the headlights look". I asked if it was by chance "Star Chaser". Again, nothing. I thought I knew every race boat, but not sure which one this is. Stinson?....... Lucy?.......... Bueller?.........

Good idea. It's been copied elsewhere, but there's nothing like the original.....

Tommy's is the one really big update to the thread. Finding out all the history in his is still ongoing. This picture just popped up in one of the latest stories about Batista's money problems...
