Cool,

any idea if there will be a St. cloud deal this year? I am assuming no since that was an APBA thing.

Thanks Frank and Stuck.
We'll have a race as long as all the racers and fans make it so awesome every year.
We've even got several new things planned for this year so Stuck, come early!

I hope we do we didn't make it up Friday for the parade but it sounded like it turned out pretty good even with some rain.

Great turnout considering it was raining and at 4 p.m. on a Friday.
This year it will be a Saturday morning parade, I think.
Also, we're planning a venetian night and a big boat party (like on Duval in Key West), more parties and a bunch of other new stuff.

Why no Marathon??

I'll take this one seeing I live here and went to the meetings. The powers that be in Marathon prefer to back things that are NEW and smaller. Events like last years baby pig races at the stuffed pig for instance. and dragon boats and they are also politically influenced by promises of a kids Nickelodeon event at Hawks Cay.
W H A T E V E R..........
Nice place to visit........etc etc etc.......

I cannot wait.
Now that I've managed the nightmare of getting from Midway to Mich. City .....I am looking forward to doing it again.
You don't, however, have to have it as hot that weekend as it is in mid August in Key West.....:)

Pat, I'm not kidding when I say that Sunday was not only the hottest day of the year, but pretty much the only hot day of the entire summer.
Glad the Midway drive didn't turn you away. Not a really good option to get here from there.
We can't wait to have you guys back :)

Sorry to hear that Pat.

Marathon is my favorite race, the only one I ever was actually in a raceboat(rather than turning wrenches), and the only one I ever said screw crewing this weekend(even though I did help out a bit), and brought my pleasure boat. Oh well.

Now that schedules are out and things are starting to gear up for 2010, just wanted to thank everyone for making our inaugural race here in Michigan City last year such a rousing success. We never expected to have 80,000 over three days (about 60,000 on race day) and it's all thanks to the great teams and racers who showed up. We've added a day to the schedule, as well as a Duval-type boat party and some other exciting stuff for 2010, so I hope to see you all here again in August.
