OFFSHORE SUPER SERIES ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD AND BY-LAWS CHANGE

Indianapolis, IN :The Offshore Super Series Powerboat Racing Association, ( OSS ) announced today the election results for the 2010 OSS Racing Season. The Owner Members had two items on the ballot; the first passed item was to adopt changes to the By-Laws of OSS ; the most significant change being to allow a different makeup of the OSS Board. Previously, the Board Members were exclusively representatives of the OSS racing classes. With this change, the Board will include persons from outside of OSS Race teams. The objective is to allow for a more diverse spectrum of experience, personalities, backgrounds, and interests to help promote and maintain the high standards of OSS and to further the sport of offshore powerboat racing.

The second item presented for vote was the approval of the following Directors to the OSS Board; Sherwood R "Woody" Bailey, Jr. from Gulfport , Mississippi . Mr. Bailey holds a B.A. from the University of Alabama , a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi and is the President of Bailey Lumber and Supply Co. In addition to his business experience, Bailey has extensive knowledge and experience with both profit and not for profit associations, Board member positions and event productions, including the site of the OSS inaugural race and annual season opener, Smokin' the Sound.

William "Bill" Reitenour, from Miamisburg , Ohio , is the third generation of an auto racing family and is currently the CEO of his daughter's NASCAR Whelen All American Series team, Megan Reitenour Racing, LLC. Reitenour has an extensive background including technical and leadership experience in all aspects of racing operations and managing, marketing/sales and customer service. His resume also includes promoting races, assisting in race track inspections, the development of new events, fundraisers, and experience with association officer positions, meetings, racing rules and regulations.

C. Richard "Rick" Davis of Indianapolis , Indiana is a graduate of Indiana University 's Law School and also holds a B.S. in Business Finance from I.U. After attending the University of Michigan Law School, where he was editor of the Michigan Law Review, he practiced law in New York City with a preeminent Wall Street law firm. He is a Managing Director of Oxford Financial Group in Indianapolis . Davis ' unique background in law and financial planning, along with his experience with numerous associations, charitable and philanthropic organizations, should prove to be a valuable addition to the OSS Board. Rick has donated his time and 39' Cigarette Top Gun for the past several years as Pace One at OSS races.

Michael E. "Mike" Mares, from Troy , Michigan attended Western Michigan University and is General Manager of Cummings Moore Graphite Company (CMGC) in Detroit . Mr. Mares has worked for CMGC for over four decades. He currently serves on two other Boards; one for Grafitos Mexicanos and one with the National Ag-Based Industrial Lubricants Program (NABIL), affiliated with the University of Northern Iowa . Mike has been with the OSS organization from its inception. Mike was Team Manager for Airborne / Big Thunder Racing for three years and then joined the staff in 2004 as Crane Referee. Mike continues to serve as Director of Race Control, a position awarded in 2006.

Randy Schleuss, from Edison , New Jersey is the owner of Quality Air of South Plainfield, New Jersey and co-owner of the Super Vee Lite Team Typhoon. Schleuss will be the Owners' Member representative elected to the newly designed Board. He has been racing since 1998, winner of 4 World Championships and a member of OSS since its inaugural year in 2004. In 2008, Randy was presented with the Randy Linebach Lighthouse Award, an honor voted annually at the Biloxi , MS. race "Smokin' the Sound" by the OSS membership for the racer in any category demonstrating exceptional teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Offshore Super Series extends its gratitude and thanks to the outgoing board members for their work, dedication and commitment to the both the association and the offshore racing community. Among the first orders of business when the new Board convenes will be to appoint officer positions, review results from team surveys, complete plans with other race organizations to confirm the 2010 schedule and outline their new ideas and vision for an exciting 2010 season of offshore racing.

The OSS is a not for profit association dedicated to the advancement of the further development and growth of offshore powerboat racing in North America. For more information, please visit our web site at www.offshoresuperseries.com
