I need to find a new supplier. I used to buy from Oceana in Annapolis but, they were sold and many products were discontinued.

Here is a possibility. http://www.directindustry.com/prod/alcan-airex-ag/end-grain-balsa-wood-panel-54499-404661.html

It looks like it may be airex composite panels. I suspect there are different brands.

Try Advanced plastics. They have about everything you can think of. I know they carry Nidacore, Coosa, and Divyncell. They are good to deal with too. Shipping may get pricey though because all of their locations are midwest and south.

Is this material a 1' thick material that is like a panel, but the inside is a Honeycomb design?
I'm looking for something to make a lightweight yet strong hatch for the Active Thunder.

I'm looking for something to make a lightweight yet strong hatch for the Active Thunder. Gordo the inside is not a honeycomb design and is like a panel . Gordo , you can make a very strong and light hatch using foam or balsa , that is vacume bagged and if you have ever lifted a Skater hatch you would have an idea of just how light they really can be made.
