Where his mouth is????

From the end of http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=ax.msTbtzJ5A&refer=worldwide

"The Obamas also are shopping for a school for their daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. They now attend the private University of Chicago Laboratory School. The couple hasn't indicated which schools they are looking at. "

Since he believes that goverment can solve all ills, why doesn't he send his kids to a goverment school?? There should be no shopping, just put them out at the West gate and wait for the bus to pick them up :seeya:

Just like all the lefties said Bush should send his daughters to Iraq

Of course DC schools are probably a little more dangerous than Iraq right now

oh please!

They are the daughters of the POTUS! Security is #1. They MUST be in a private school.

Be realistic! :)

Cat, this is JUST for you. I distinctly remember YOU discussing the Bush Daughters in Iraq. And all I'm asking is that O send his daughters to a gov't run school, could it be THAT bad??? After all, everything gov't gets involved in is the Cat's ass right ol'buddy??? Romney was not even nominated, O won it, lead by example. It would be no different keeping the girls safe in a DC public school than at Sidwell Friends where Chelsea went (even got to meet her there :26: ).

Sidwell Friends has a larger, more open campus than ANY DC public school, as do the other schools mentioned for the O children. Security has absolutely NOTHING to do with him putting them in a private school. No, he and Mrs. O know that the public school system is in the crapper, especially the DC system, which gets and spends more per student than virtually any other school district. And why? Well because the school systems are beholden to the teacher's unions and their Dem pals in government. Another stellar government - run institution that the big government guys don't want to send their kids to. And BTW Cat, I don't hate O the way you hate Bush. I hate what he stands for (well maybe because we really don't know do we?) and I hate what his coronation will mean to this country, but he is just a man I don't know and without personally knowing him I have no hate for the man himself. Much different than the Bush Derangement Syndrome that you and other lefty wingnuts exhibit, better to keep focused and attack the acts, not the man.

Oh and since you mentioned it, he has probably done less actual work than most G4 government employees so their kids probably deserve a better education than his, he is a taker, not a producer, never has been.

In all seriousness, why don't they just home-school the kids? Seems it would solve a lot of problems.

Tell ya what Clay, you post more Claymates and I'll just sit here and drool. I was in a mood yesterday and decided to spar with Ol' Cat for a bit, I kinda missed it since he is usually a good time. But I really don't care that O got in, if he blunders we win in 2010 and if he does well, the country does, so it's all good. I plan on doing fine regardless of what he does, so I'll chill out now :D

Thankfully we have some fantastic private schools here in the DC metro area and his daughters are assured of a great education and a bright future regardless of which one they choose.

What do those kids need school for...I mean is it really that hard to teach them to put their hand out?
