Trailer fix up coming along... [Archive]

Mind you this was a low budget job! More or less to help preserve the steel and improve the looks a little. A Gallon of Rustoleum Gloss black, a roller, a brush, a can of gloss black rattle can, some DOT tape, and next is polishing all the diamond plate on the fenders and tool boxes.

Heres what it looked like 2008.

Still need to give it a good wash, been painted for 2 weeks but sitting in the muddy yard with all the rain made it pretty dirty...Got to get rid of the spare galvanized wheel on the center axle too, looks awful

Come spring its gonna get new tires, and all new brake assemblies. Springs, axles, hangers, all appear in good shape so gonna leave them alone. Also plan to add a REAL bow stop like the manning and mycos have. Who knows, the Beagle might just make LOTO or Cumberland next season!

I didn't know what was worse. Big D walking down the street with the bucket on his head, or those who were following his directions back to the hotel!! You know you have had to many if you take directions from a guy walking thru downtown milwaukee at 2am wearing a bucket as a hat, it wasn't even that cold out!

Its actually called Sunset Bay marina. Where my trailer is kept its way out back, pretty much in the junkyard. Its a little cleaner/neater up where the bar/marina building is. Tommys yard is down the river a couple miles..

I started out rather conservative drinking, thinking to myself I dont wanna be the guy walking around with a bucket on his head. Then at the end of the night, I was still somewhat regrettably sober, and the bucket thing was pretty cool...:sifone:

It was nice meeting you several times Mike. Maybe next time we go out with Magic Medicine he will introduce us to each other a few more times.. :rofl:

Didnt get to that yet, but it has 12X2" straight electric drums on all axles. Going to electric over hyd discs would be the ultimate setup, but will prob just put fresh shoe assemblies on in the spring as the drums are all good shape..

If u go disc,,,2 axles is plenty. Kodiac SS is the chit !!!!!

75% more braking power.

I am either going to rebuild my old trailer or sell it and buy one,,,don't know yet.:ack2:

Ok, first of all, it was a "Grey Goose Ice Bucket" that Big D was wearing on his head, thanks to me! Now that he has the ice bucket, we have a new goal for next year....he wants the Mixer piece! Everything they brought was labeled with Grey Goose....lord knows I drank quite a bit of those 2 bottles myself! But good times were had by all, that's all that counts! Of course, Big D says, "we would have a good time if we were all stuck in a phone booth!" Do they even have phone booths anymore???????
