I just don't know what it is. The thing is huge...and check out the staggered setup.

No VIN on the transom?

HINs weren't required until the '70s. I think this hull predates the requirement.

Hey Dude...That boat looks sweet!

That antique boat site has lots of pretty stuff on it! I found it when I was looking for something for my dad.

Fino was of ownership of the 1972's Offshore World Champ OP1 Bobby Rautbord.

And more importantly... That's what SHE said! :26:

Where is that boat at and from the look of things it looks like it might need a new transom .

------Boat is in Lighthouse Point, Fl. I think Sledge posted over on the DONZI sight with these as the same pics showed up over there. It is a Fino that Bobby R built for himself. The other 29 (30 were built) were V-drives. As that add stated the Finos (I have # 26) are very Aquarama-ish (barrell-back), but have a Walt Walters designed hull that appears similar to a Bertram Baron except beamier. Slow but an extreme wave crusher for 30 feet. 55 MPH on a good day with twin 454s. Most had A.C., water and a generator. Also had a great small cabin forward with head and sink. As delivered the other 29 had an absolutely beautiful stern area with a great built in swim platform. When Bobby had the one pictured built for his own use they really cobbled up the rear. Just my opinion, but I think this one is kind of ugly because of the mods to the stern, but it is a piece of history!!!.......Mr.Bill

Michael Peters, the designer of most of the new Chris Craft's is a lover of the Fino. You are correct in saying the Chris Crafts are Finoesk. In reality, the Fino was Americas answer to the Riva.
Have you been to the Fino web site?
Fino 30 sport boat (http://www.finomarine.com)
There you will see some of the 29 of so built.
