I killed the GoPro 10min into the race so I don't have a ton of footage.

I just spliced this together this morning so it's not the best.. but thanks to Jeff at Freeze Frame and Pete B from a couple pictures I inserted into the video.

Great Boat. And it's for sale too. $30,000 takes her home.

Yeah, but you broke out too...........:sifone: (If we'd only have known that.....:sifone:)

You were right about one thing though, that boat of yours did go from 50 to 75 with nothing inbetween. Here's the start where you jumped everyone. :ack2: Didn't know JATO's were legal in class 5, gotta get some.........:)

Are small V-drive boats allowed to run in these races?

No drive limitations at all.

OSS Class 4, lowest they have, single engine or twin outboards, 24 to 30 feet, 65mph maximum average. (In classes 2, 3, & 4 you could run down to a 21' boat)

SBI Class P-5, lowest they have, 30 feet and under, single engine only, 75mph max allowable speed.

OPA Class 500, Vee hull only, 30 feet maximum, 75 mph maximum.

OPA Class 600, Vee hull only, 26 feet maximum, 70 mph maximum.

The rules are tough for me to catch everything. So, any errors here????

Just got thinking about the way some of those v-drive ski race boats come out of the hole and the amount of lake racing that's done in the midwestern and eastern series, seems like a guy with a strong running ski race boat and a rev limited could probably clean up bracket racing.

Maybe. The acceleration from about 50 to 75 is really important in the 75 class. Tyler's Rocket does really well there. Then the twin outboard boats.

I would welcome an opportunity to race against one of them in Class 5. They would never handle the other wakes.

Obviously something of a joke on the circle flatties, but if you look at some of the small ski race boats, like the 21 Nordic Cyclone, the 22 Schiada or the 21 Hallet, they run those boats very hard, in big water, with a skier...
